Synapse Physiotherapy offers specialised neurological physiotherapy and rehabilitation within your own home environment. Conditions are assessed and treated as appropriate, including Stroke, Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson's Disease, Motor Neurone Disease, Head & Spinal Cord Injury as well as well as some non-neurological conditions, including general rehabilitation after a hospital stay.

After an assessment of your current function, realistic goals will be discussed and a treament plan formulated.This may range from a course of intensive rehabilitation, to a monthly session to maintain physical ability. The main aim is to maximise functional ability within the limits of your condition.

A wide range of physiotherapeutic approaches are used including exercise, 'hands on' facilitation, neuro pilates, PNF, balance re-education, muscle stretches, massage and electrical stimulation. Advice on Bioness and other FES (Functional Electrical Stimulation) and Saeboflex are provided.
